Wine tour

As you know, Tuscany is well known for wine production. Vine is extensively cultivated here, especially in the Chianti area. Taking a tour here mean to discover a truly unique countryside, where vineyards and olive groves form the landscape itself, along with small villages, lonely farmhouse and winery. Leaving the port we head for the inland, driving on the highway for about 45 minutes, then we turn off and start to travel on side roads, passing through the best of the wine district, as far as the village of Greve in Chianti, here you have time at leisure to visit the spot, in particular the main square, surrounded with arcades, full of typical shops to browse, which sell premium food stuff as ham, and salami. Have a look at the statue in the middle of the square, it depicted Giovanni da Verazzano the explorer who discovered the bay of New York, he was born here! Then we reach the old castle, now turn into a farm, for the wine testing. Here the local guide will take you around showing you the cellars and vineyard, explaining the process of wine making, followed by the wine tasting; several wine accompanied with products of the farm (different choices are possible, a short one, or a true lunch, lasting about 3 and ½ hours). According to your choice the time left will allow you to visit Siena and San Gimignano or Volterra, or San Gimignano only, or Pisa only in the morning
